What are injectables?

Injectables rejuvenate your appearance and smooth away signs of aging by injecting one of the following: 

Dermal fillers

Your provider injects dermal fillers to:

• Diminish wrinkles around your mouth and nose (laugh lines and marionette lines)
• Erase small vertical lip lines
• Restore cheek volume

Botulinum toxin products

Medical grade botulinum toxins stop the muscle contractions responsible for certain facial expressions. As you repeatedly make the same expressions, the muscles pull on your skin, causing:

• Crow’s feet on the sides of your eyes
• Deep creases in your forehead
• Lines on your upper nose

Dermal fillers can’t help wrinkles formed by muscle movement, but botulinum-based injectables can. Your provider injects the medication into precisely selected muscles, making them relax and erasing the wrinkles they cause.

What high-quality injectable products might I receive?

Your aesthetic specialist recommends one of the following injectables based on the type of wrinkle: 

Dermal fillers

The team offers Allergan’s family of Juvéderm® products, Galderma’s Restylane® products, and Revanesse® Versa™. All three contain hyaluronic acid, which is naturally produced in your skin and maintains hydration. However, some products are thicker than others, making them better suited for certain wrinkles.

Botulinum toxin products

Your provider offers Botox®, Jeuveau®, and Dysport®. Each one contains a slightly different form of the botulinum toxin, causing nuanced differences that may make one a better option for certain people.

What happens during an injectables session?

Your provider focuses on ensuring your comfort during and after your session. They use very fine needles and expert techniques that cause little to no discomfort. However, they also offer a topical anesthetic to numb the injected area.

How long do injectable results last?

Dermal fillers produce immediate results that last six months to two years, depending on the product and where it was injected.*

You’ll start seeing results two to three days after a Botox, Jeuveau, or Dysport injection. Your results last up to four or five months, depending on which one you received.* 

You can choose to have another injectable treatment when your results fade away.
